vintage art, farm scene, children by fence with dog, small 6" x 7"
Cute little pair of old prints in antique frames. Great pieces to create a focal point in any room or to complete that tiny hole in your gallery wall.
Each measures 6”long x 7”high
Not sure what kind of prints these are. I picked them in rural Vermont in March 2018. Might be professional prints or something more common. These date back to a time in the 1930s and 1940s when most folks didn’t have a lot of extra money. They’d cut pages from magazines and splurge on a nice frame for them. Magazines commissioned artwork from famous artists of the day, allowing everyday people to cut the beautiful pages out and really feel like they had something special in their homes.
Glass in frames is intact and also looks original to the period. Nailed frames have a cool red stripe around the inside that really make the colors in the images pop out. Some very old masking tape is affixed to the back of these, which I’ve left in place. Primitive hanger mechanism looks like an old staple, which I’ve also left as I think it adds to the charm of the pair
Lovely early piece for cabin, lake house, camp home
